Weekend High School Wrestling Recap

In prep wrestling, Aquinas won the Centennial Conference tournament while Scotus earned fourth place on Saturday. 

The Monarchs racked up 270.5 points, 119.5 points more than second-place Omaha Concordia.  The Shamrocks tallied 63 points.  Aquinas had 11 individual conference champions, while Scotus had one as Ben Kamrath earned the title at 170 pounds. 

Meantime, Lakeview won the Madison Invite last Friday.  The Vikings topped the 12-team field with 216 points.  Boone Central was third, Twin River took fifth, Howells-Dodge was eighth and the host Dragons placed tenth. 

Four Lakeview grapplers earned first place in their weight class: Andon Stenger, Kevin Dominguez, Logan Jaixen and Landon Ternus. 

And Columbus High was seventh out of 16 teams competing at Friday’s UNK Midwest Duals.
