Wednesday Night High School Hoops Preview
The Scotus boys basketball team visits Aquinas tonight as the Centennial Conference basketball tournament finally opens. The contest was originally scheduled for Monday before Mother Nature intervened.
You can hear the game between the 10th-seeded Shamrocks and the number-7 seed Monarchs on KLIR 101. Tipoff is set for 6p.m.
The winner advances to the tourney’s quarterfinals and will visit second-seeded Kearney Catholic tomorrow at 6 p.m., also on KLIR. In girls action, number-5 seed Scotus visits fourth-seeded Lincoln Lutheran in tomorrow’s quarterfinals at 6 p.m.
Both Lakeview roundball clubs will host Central Conference basketball tournament games tonight.
In the boys bunny bracket, the eighth-seeded Vikings face number-9 seed Holdrege at 5:30 p.m. In the girls quarterfinals at 7 p.m., number-4 seed Lakeview also takes on the Dusters, seeded fifth.
