The Nebraska football team continues its preparations to face Northwestern on Saturday in Lincoln.

Offensive coordinator Troy Walters was asked yesterday about the Wildcats’ defense holding Wisconsin to 243 yards of total offense last Saturday.  “Their defense is solid.” Walters said. “They get after it up front…very solid, very stout up front.  They’re not going to let you run between the tackles much.  They don’t do a whole lot but what they do, they do well.”

Nebraska defensive lineman Khalil Davis has been suspended for Saturday’s game.  The Big Ten says Davis violated its sportsmanship policy by striking an Ohio State player in the first quarter of last Saturday’s game.  No penalty was called.

Kickoff this Saturday is set for 3 p.m. The pre-game show begins at 10 a.m. on News Talk 900 KJSK and will be joined at 2:30 on KLIR 101.
