Volleyball: CHS Goes 1-2, Lakeview at Schuyler Tuesday

The Columbus High volleyball club went 1-2 on Saturday at the Norfolk Invitational. 

Led by Josie Garrett’s eight kills, the Discoverers opened with a 2-0 victory over Bennington, winning 25-21, 25-15.   Columbus was downed in two sets by Hastings, as the Tigers edged CHS 25-23, 25-23.  Kearney defeated Columbus 25-16, 28-26.  The Discoverers are now 1-3 on the season. 

Columbus will host Grand Island and Lincoln Pius X in a triangular on Thursday.  First serve of the opening match on KLIR 101 is set for 5 p.m.
