Vikings Softball Goes 1-1 in Conference Tournament

Lakeview’s softball team went 1-1 in yesterday’s Central Conference tournament at Crete.
The Vikings were knocked off by Highway 6 in the opening game 6-1. Lakeview rebounded to defeat the host Cardinals 5-3 in a consolation game. The Vikings are now 17-7.
They’ll host the B-7 Subdistrict tournament on Monday at Lakeview. The top-seeded Vikings will face No. 4 seed Blue River at 3 p.m. No. 2 seed York takes on third-seed Aurora at 5 p.m. The winners meet for the subdistrict title Monday at 7 p.m.
