Vikings Softball Falls One Win Shy of Making State Tournament

Lakeview’s softball team finished a win shy of making it to this week’s Class B state tournament.
The Vikings lost in three games in Saturday’s district final at Scottsbluff. Lakeview won the opening game 10-7. But, the Bearcats evened the final series with a 13-5 victory in six innings. The home club cruised to a 15-7 win in five innings in the deciding game.
The Vikings finished the year with an 18-10 record.
