Following the Nebraska football team’s practice yesterday, quarterback coach Mario Verduzco spoke with the media.  In Adrian Martinez and Luke McCaffrey, Verduzco was asked if the Huskers have two quarterbacks who could both see regular playing time.

He said that’s going to ultimately be head coach Scott Frost’s decision.  “But, I think you’d love to have as many good quarterbacks in your room as possible that you feel good about, that you feel can go into a game if they have some game prep and win a game for you,” Verduzco said.

He said the biggest stride McCaffrey made since last season is getting more thrust on his passes.

Nebraska opens its season on October 24th, when the Huskers visit Ohio State.
