Tigers Can’t Put Away Swedes in State VB C1 Semifinal

North Bend Central won the first two sets of its C1 state volleyball semifinal match today, but Gothenburg rallied for a 3-2 victory.
The No. 5 Swedes shocked the top-seeded Tigers 17-25, 25-22, 24-26, 25-15, 15-10. Gothenburg will play for the C1 championship Saturday at 3 p.m. in the Devaney Sports Center.
North Bend Central plays in Saturday’s third place match at Lincoln North Star with a 9 a.m. first serve.
