Three Area Teams Compete Today in State Bowling Tourney

Three area teams are competing in the Class B state bowling team championships today in Lincoln. 

Humphrey/Lindsay Holy Family is an underdog in the boys bracket, as the Bulldogs are seeded eighth in the eight-team field.  In the girls team tournament at Sun Valley Lanes, H/LHF is also the No. 8 seed, while Howells-Dodge is seeded fifth. 

In yesterday’s Class A team tournament, Grand Island took the boys crown and Fremont claimed the girls title. 

Three local bowlers will compete in tomorrow’s state singles championships.  Gavin Unger of Columbus High qualified in Class A, while Lakeview’s Daniel Borgman and Trenton Ditter made the Class B singles tourney.
