Sooners Softball Ace Bahl Returning Home to Nebraska

Oklahoma softball ace Jordy Bahl has announced she’s transferring and heading back to Nebraska.

The Papillion native said in a social media post yesterday that she’s homesick.  She did not say if she’ll play for Nebraska, Creighton or Omaha.  But, sources told ESPN that Bahl, who originally committed to NU, is expected to join the Huskers.

In two seasons at Oklahoma, Bahl went 44-2 and led the Sooners to a pair of national titles.  She earned first-team All-American honors both years.

Bahl pitched 24.2 scoreless innings at this year’s Women’s College World Series and was named its Most Outstanding Player.
