Soccer Subdistrict Finals: Scotus Girls Win, Boys Fall

Emma Brezenski scored six goals for the second straight postseason match, leading the Scotus girls soccer team to a 10-0 rout of rival Lakeview in Tuesday’s subdistrict final at Pawnee Park’s Memorial Stadium.
The Shamrocks recorded their 12th shutout win of the season and third straight by a 10-0 score. Scotus is 12-3 and advances to Saturday’s district finals.
Meanwhile, the No. 2 seed Shamrocks boys fell at top-seeded Schuyler 3-2 in their subdistrict final. Scotus saw its season end at 8-7, while the Warriors move on to a district final at 13-3.
