Soccer Openers: CHS Girls Fall, Boys Win, Lakeview Splits

In prep soccer season openers Thursday, the Columbus High girls dropped a home match against Lincoln Southwest 1-0. 

Discoverers coach Zack Wayman said it was a tough game against one of the best teams in the state.  The Silver Hawks scored the only goal with about 15 minutes left in the match.

The CHS boys earned a 1-0 win at Lincoln North Star. 

Meanwhile, Kenzie Greisen scored three goals to lead Lakeview’s girls to a 5-0 victory at Holdrege.  The Lakeview boys dropped a 3-1 decision to the Dusters.
