Prep Football Scores; Hear Local Coaches’ Comments Saturdays

In high school football Friday night, Scotus won its season opener, while Lakeview fell in its lid-lifter and Columbus High bowed to a rival as its season record evened at 1-1.

The Shamrocks made a goal line stand in the closing seconds to hang on for a 13-7 victory at Aquinas.  The Vikings fell behind 21-0 by halftime en route to a 35-6 loss at Ashland-Greenwood.  The Discoverers fell to Maroon cup rival Norfolk 38-7 at Pawnee Park’s Memorial Stadium.

Fans can listen to the three city schools’ football coaches break down their games – and catch other area scores – during the Pinnacle Bank Coaches Show.  It’s aired Saturdays at 9 a.m. on KLIR 101.
