Prep Football Quarterfinals On Tap Tonight

The state high school football quarterfinals are on tap tonight.

In C2, Aquinas is 8-2 going into its home game against 9-0 Ord.  Asked about the Chanticleers, Monarchs coach Ron Mimick noted they play a lot of seniors, including one of the class’ top running backs in Tommy Stevens and quarterback Zach Smith, plus kicker Kelen Meyer, a Nebraska walk-on commit who hit a 58-yard field goal this season.

You can hear the Aquinas-Ord contest on KLIR 101.  Kickoff is at 7 p.m.

That’s the same time for the D1 matchup between Cross County and Elm Creek in Stromsburg, which will be aired on 93.5 The Hawk.

It’s a 6 p.m. kickoff on KZ-100, as Osceola visits Falls City Sacred Heart in D2 action.

The Hawk Scoreboard Show is at 10:30 p.m. on 93.5 FM.
