Nebraska women’s golfer Kate Smith won the Minnesota Women’s Amateur title yesterday.

Smith, a senior from Detroit Lakes, Minnesota, finished with a three-round total of one-under par at the Stillwater Country Club.  She won the tourney by six strokes.

Smith’s Husker teammate Leah Herzog finished tied for seventh at 10-over, after firing an even-par 72 on Wednesday.

The Minnesota amateur crown was the second of Smith’s career.  She won her first in 2017.
