NU’s Banjoff Earns Freshman of the Week

Nebraska baseball’s Leighton Banjoff has earned Big Ten Freshman of the Week honors. 

Banjoff went 6-for-11 at the plate during the Huskers’ series at Arizona State last weekend.  In Sunday’s 18-10 win, he went 4-for-6 with two home runs including a grand slam and six RBI.

Banjoff leads NU with a .370 batting average through nine games.
