NU Volleyball Starts Practice, Season Up In Air

The Nebraska volleyball team held its first practice of the season yesterday, still not knowing when its season will start.  The Big Ten announced on Wednesday that conference-only schedules will be released at a later date. 

Several conferences have announced they will not play volleyball.  And while most of those are smaller leagues, one is the Big West which includes Hawaii. 

Also up in the air is volleyball’s postseason and Omaha is slated to host the NCAA Final Four in December. 

The NCAA Board of Governors said yesterday that each of its divisions must decide by August 21st whether to hold their fall sports seasons and NCAA championships as scheduled.
