The NCAA is allowing all major college football teams to begin their seasons as early as August 29th.

The association confirms that the football oversight committee requested a blanket waiver to permit any school to push up the start of its season.

Most teams, including Nebraska, are scheduled to start the following Saturday, September 5th.  As of yet, there has been no announcement from NU that the Huskers will move their season and home opener against Purdue to begin either earlier or later.
