Multiple Reports: Trev Alberts Leaving Huskers for Aggies

Trev Alberts is reportedly leaving Nebraska to become Texas A&M’s athletic director.

That’s according to multiple media outlets after it was first reported by the Houston Chronicle.

Alberts has been the athletic director at his alma mater since being hired away from Nebraska-Omaha in 2021.  He signed a new contract last November to keep him with the Huskers through 2031.

During his time in Lincoln, Alberts fired Scott Frost and hired Matt Rhule as the head football coach.  He also organized Nebraska Volleyball Day which drew more than 92,000 fans to Memorial Stadium last August.
