Mathis on Mood in Huskers’ Locker Room After Purdue Loss

After holding its previous two opponents – Indiana and Rutgers – to 34 points combined, Nebraska’s football team is coming off a 43-37 loss at Purdue.

Huskers edge rusher Ochaun Mathis was asked following Saturday’s game about the mood in the locker room.  “After a loss, there’s no happiness at the end of the day,” Mathis said.  “We all know we played hard.  We just need to start earlier….we still want “the dub” and that’s what we are going for the next game.”

That next game won’t come until next Saturday, October 29th.  The Huskers will host No. 18 Illinois and kickoff has been set for 2:30 p.m.
