Man Arrested After Lunging At Neighbor With Kitchen Knife In Grand Island
GRAND ISLAND- Grand Island Police have arrested a man after he lunged at his neighbor with a kitchen knife.
On Thursday at 9:49 p.m., police say Joseph Williams attempted to contact his neighbor, Vladimir Campos Alvarez, at his residence. After Williams knocked on the door, Alvarez opened the door in an aggressive manner and lunged out of the apartment into the hallway with a large kitchen knife. During the lunge, Alvarez threatened to kill Williams for knocking on his door. Williams retreated to his apartment and called law enforcement.
A criminal records check of Alvarez showed that he was a convicted felon and due to using the deadly instrument as a weapon was charged with possession of a deadly weapon by a prohibited person.
