Nebraska’s first-year offensive coordinator Matt Lubick confirmed yesterday that Adrian Martinez is tops on the Huskers’ quarterback depth chart.

Lubick says he is happy with the way all the quarterbacks have progressed and kept learning and throwing on their own, despite spring practice being shut down by the pandemic.

Lubick said it’s up to the coaches to help Martinez perform well “by putting him in good situations, by making the reads simple, easy and clear.”  Lubick said that has been the coaches’ big goal to help the whole offense.

The Huskers are set to open their delayed season on October 24th at Ohio State.
