LSU Returns Favor to Florida As Tigers Win CWS Title

What a difference a day made at the College World Series.
A day after LSU was pounded by Florida 24-4, the Tigers bounced back with an 18-4 victory last night. LSU wiped out an early 2-0 deficit with a six-run second inning and banged out a CWS-record 24 hits to win its first title since 2009.
LSU’s seventh-ever championship broke a tie with Texas for second-most in history and is five behind USC’s record 12 titles.
