Lakeview Seniors Downed by Albion in B4 Area Tourney

The Bank of the Valley Lakeview Seniors lost to Albion 5-2 in the second round of the B4 area tournament Saturday night at Pawnee Park.
Lakeview led 2-1 in the fifth inning when Albion scored three runs to pull ahead 4-2. Albion scored its final run in the sixth.
Bank of the Valley, which is trying to win the area title and make the Class B state tournament for a third straight season, fell to 1-1 in the area tourney and 11-4 overall. Lakeview meets 0-1 Pierce in an elimination game Sunday night at 7 p.m.
Albion is 21-4 on the season and 2-0 at Legion Field in Columbus. They’ll face 1-0 and No. 1 seed Battle Creek Sunday at 4 p.m.
