Junior Blues’ Season Ends With Two Losses in Area Tourney

The One United Federal Credit Union Junior Blues went 0-2 in the A6 area tournament at Pawnee Park Field.
Columbus fell to Lincoln North Star 7-3 in Friday night’s opener. On Saturday night, the Junior Blues were shut out by Fremont 7-0. Columbus’ junior club was held to four hits on Friday and just three more on Saturday.
The Junior Blues finished the season with a 9-21 record.
The tournament continues with one game today at Pawnee Park. Fremont will play Lincoln Northeast at 7 p.m. The winner will meet 3-0 Norfolk tomorrow and will need to win twice to advance to the state tournament.
