Johansson Places 12th in Shot Put at World Championships

Nebraska freshman Axelina Johansson placed 12th in the women’s shot put at the World Athletics Championships in Eugene, Oregon Saturday night.
Johansson posted a throw of 57-feet, 9-inches to finish out the competition.
On Friday she set a new personal record of 60-feet-11 inches and became the only current college athlete to reach the final 12. The NCAA outdoor bronze medalist, Johansson topped both the gold and silver medalists to advance to the final.
