Huskers’ Whittaker Earns Spot in U.S. Women’s Amateur

University of Nebraska golfer Megan Whittaker has earned a spot in the 2022 U.S. Women’s Amateur Championship.
She shot a two-under par, 70 at Eagle Bend Golf Course in Lawrence, Kansas on Tuesday. Whitaker, who’ll be a graduate student at NU next school year, was one of four golfers in the 38-player field to earn a U.S. Women’s Amateur berth.
The tournament will be held at Chambers Bay Golf Club in University Place, Washington from August 8th through the 14th. The first two days will be stroke play, with the top 64 golfers after 36 holes advancing to match play.
