Huskers’ Huge Late Run Not Enough to Top Michigan

In men’s college basketball, Nebraska used a 19-3 run late in the second half to make things interesting at Michigan, but the Wolverines scored the game’s final six points to hold off the Huskers, 85-79.

Bryce McGowens poured in a team-high 24 points, becoming the first freshman in NU history to score at least 20 points in four straight games. Nebraska slipped to 6-16 overall and 0-11 in the Big Ten.

The Huskers will host Northwestern Saturday at noon.  The pregame starts at 11 a.m. on News Talk 900 KJSK.
