Husker Men Fall, Women Win at Big Ten Tourney
In the Big Ten men’s basketball tournament, Penn State rallied from 14 points down to end Nebraska’s season. The Huskers fell 72-66 in the tourney’s opening round.
NU’s campaign ended with a 7-20 mark, 3-16 in the conference. Nebraska is 5-10 all-time in the league’s tournament, including 0-3 against the Nittany Lions.
The Nebraska women also played in the Big Ten tourney at Indianapolis yesterday and fared better, winning 72-61 over Minnesota.
Sam Haiby had 19 points and eight rebounds and Kate Cain added 16 points and six rebounds for the Huskers.
