Hames’ Ankle Injury To Keep Her Out This Friday

The Nebraska volleyball club will be playing without Nicklin Hames when it opens the season this Friday. 

Hames suffered an ankle injury during the Huskers’ Red-White scrimmage on Saturday.  But, coach John Cook said “nothing torn, nothing broken” when asked about Hames’ injury yesterday, adding: “The Phoenix will rise.” 

Hames and fellow senior Lexi Sun were voted to the Preseason All-Big Ten Team by the league’s coaches.  The conference also announced Monday that its coaches picked Nebraska number 2 in the preseason poll behind defending conference champion Wisconsin.
