Haarberg Shines as Huskers Win in Rhule’s Home Debut

Quarterback Heinrich Haarberg shined in his first career start and Nebraska’s defense was dominant on Saturday night.
The result was a 35-11 win over Northern Illinois in head coach Matt Rhule’s home debut at Memorial Stadium. Haarberg completed 14-of-24 passes for 158 yards and two touchdowns.
The 6-foot-5, 215-pound sophomore from Kearney added 21 carries and led the Huskers’ rushing attack with 98 yards.
Nebraska hosts Louisiana Tech on Saturday. Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m. The pregame starts at 10:30 a.m. on News Talk 900 KJSK. It will be joined at 2 p.m. on 93.5 The Hawk.
