Former Husker, Knuckleballer Waldron Makes MLB Debut
Former Nebraska pitcher and knuckleballer Matt Waldron made his Major League debut with the San Diego Padres Saturday.
Waldron took the loss as the Padres fell 2-0 at home to the Washington Nationals. He pitched 4.2 innings, allowing four hits including two solo homers, walking one and striking out two batters.
Waldron was optioned back to Triple-A El Paso afterwards.
