Creighton women’s basketball standout Jaylyn Agnew inked a professional deal today with the Atlanta Dream.

The WNBA recently announced its season will tip off next month with a 22-game regular season schedule followed by a traditional playoff format at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.

Agnew became the first Bluejays player ever selected in the WNBA Draft in April when she was taken in the second round by Washington.  However, she was cut in late May as the Mystics were over their roster limit.

Agnew earned Big East Player of the Year honors last season, after averaging 20.8 points per game for the Jays.
