Football Playoffs: Two City Teams Out, Five Area Clubs Alive

Lakeview and Scotus have bowed out of the Class C1 football playoffs.
The Vikings fell at Boone Central 49-7, while the Shamrocks lost at Wahoo 46-0 last Friday.
Boone Central is 10-0 and will host 8-2 Auburn Friday at 6 p.m. in the C1 quarterfinals.
In eight-man quarterfinal action Friday, Cross County entertains Sandy Creek in a matchup of two unbeaten D1 teams. That game has a 7 p.m. kickoff and will be broadcast on KZ-100.
In D2, Humphrey St. Francis visits Wynot, while Howells-Dodge hosts Dundy County Stratton – both have 5 p.m. kickoffs. And Central Valley travels to Arnold to face South Loup at 6 p.m.
