Discoverers Girls Basketball Wins, Boys Fall at Fremont

Columbus basketball split its varsity games at rival Fremont last night, with the Discoverers girls winning and the boys losing.

The Discoverers boys were outscored by the Tigers 21-11 in the fourth quarter in a 52.47 loss.  Quinn Freshour had a season-high 16 points for CHS, which lost its eighth straight to drop to 1-10.

The Columbus girls rolled to a 61-29 victory, moving to 6-5.  Jordyn Trotta had 13 points and Ayla Janssen added 12.

Both Discoverers teams visit Lincoln Pius X on Saturday.
