CU Men and Women’s Hoops Climb in AP Polls

The Creighton men’s basketball team matched its best ranking ever at No. 7 in the Associated Press Top 25 poll released yesterday.
The Bluejays moved up three spots after going 2-1 in last week’s Maui Jim Maui Invitational. Creighton, which is 6-1 on the season, is also ranked seventh in this week’s USA Today coaches poll.
The Jays visit No. 2 Texas Thursday at 6 p.m. on ESPN.
Meanwhile, the Creighton women climbed three spots to No. 13 in the AP poll. It’s the highest ranking in program history. With two more victories last week, the Bluejays are 6-0.
They’ll play at No. 25 Villanova Friday night.
