Cross Country Recap From a Busy Thursday
In cross country meets yesterday, Columbus High hosted an Invite, while Scotus, Lakeview and Schuyler ran in Wahoo.
In the boys 5K run at Lutjelusche, Noah Lawrence finished fourth and his Discoverers teammate Joe McFarland took sixth. CHS was fourth out of six teams, with Norfolk winning.
In the girls 5K, Maggie Luebbe earned 15th. The Discoverers girls were fifth, while Norfolk was best among five teams.
In Wahoo, the Shamrocks’ Benjamin Juarez placed ninth and Michael Gasper was 11th to help Scotus earn third in the boys 5K. Plattsmouth won, while Schuyler was eighth and Lakeview 11th in the 13-team field.
In the girls 5K, Olivia Fehringer of Scotus finished fourth. The Shamrocks took fourth as a team, one spot behind Schuyler, and Lakeview was eighth out of eight teams.
