Creighton Stomps Butler, Loses Top Recruit

Second-seeded Creighton never trailed in an 87-56 rout of 10th-seeded Butler in Thursday’s quarterfinals of the Big East Tournament.
The Bluejays will take a 19-7 record into their semifinal contest against number 3 seed UConn tonight. The Huskies crushed DePaul 94-60 last night.
Tonight’s tipoff is set for 8 p.m. The game will be televised on FS1.
The news for CU fans yesterday wasn’t all good, as TyTy Washington, the top name in the Jays’ 2021 recruiting class announced on Twitter that he no longer plans to attend Creighton.
In deciding to reopen his recruitment, Washington made no mention of the recent controversy surrounding coach Greg McDermott’s “plantation” remarks.
