Both Columbus American Legion baseball teams dropped home games against Grand Island last night. 

The Cornerstone Insurance Group Columbus Seniors took a 4-3 lead into the top of the seventh.  But, Grand Island erupted for seven runs en route to a 10-5 victory.  The loss snapped Cornerstone’s four-game winning streak as the Seniors fell to 6-4.  In the first game, the Columbus United Federal Credit Union Junior Blues were edged 7-5, slipping to 4-6.  Both Columbus clubs welcome Hastings to Pawnee Park Field today.  It’s a 5 p.m. first pitch for the Juniors game, with the Seniors starting at 7:30. 

Also last night, the Owens Wealth Advisors Lakeview Junior Reds dropped a 4-1 decision at Pierce.  That ended the Junior Reds’ five-game winning streak as they slipped to 6-2.
