Columbus Girls Take Sixth, Boys 10th in HAC Track Meet

The Columbus track and field teams competed in the Heartland Athletic Conference meet Tuesday at Kearney High.
The Discoverers girls finished sixth out 12 teams. Liz Wemhoff won gold medals in the 100 and 200-meter dashes. Paighton Erb finished third in the high jump and the Columbus girls 400 meter relay team also won bronze.
The CHS boys finished 10th. Izzie Daniels won a gold medal in the 400 meters and Brenyn Delano earned bronze in the pole vault.
