Columbus Classic Volleyball Tourney Recap

In last weekend’s Columbus Classic volleyball tournament, Scotus finished third with a win over Lakeview in the third place match, while Columbus High was sixth out of eight teams. 

The Shamrocks beat Blair 2-0, before falling in the semifinals to Hastings in two sets. In the third place match, Scotus defeated Lakeview 2-0 as the Shamrocks improved to 14-4.

The Vikings, who had opened with a 2-1 win over CHS before falling to Norfolk Catholic in three sets, are now 16-4. 

After losing to Lakeview, the Discoverers defeated Beatrice in two sets, but bowed to Kearney Catholic 2-0 in the fifth place match. Columbus is now 10-13.

In the championship match, Norfolk Catholic topped Hastings 2-1.
