CHS Has 10 Qualifiers for Boys State Wrestling

Columbus High will be represented by 10 wrestlers in this week’s state meet, while three grapplers from Lakeview and two from Scotus qualified for the boys state tournament on Saturday.

Five of those 13 won district titles, including four Discoverers: Brenyn Delano, Blake Cerny, Adrian Bice and Caydn Kucera.  The Vikings’ Landon Ternus was the other district champion. Aquinas matched CHS with ten state qualifiers and seven Monarchs claimed district titles.  David City High will be represented in Omaha by nine wrestlers, including four district champs.

The boys state meet is slated for three days, beginning Thursday.  The first-ever girls tourney will also be at CHI Health Center on Friday and Saturday.  State wrestling reports will air all three days on KZ-100 and KLIR 101.
