CHS Golf, Track Compete in Wind, Rain at Kearney

The Columbus High boys golf team and track club competed in windy and rainy conditions at Kearney Invites last Friday.
At Meadowlark Hills, the Discoverers carded a team score of 368 to finish ninth out of 15 clubs. Brock Kuhlman of CHS shot an 81 to tie for the sixth-best score. He received the seventh place medal after a scorecard playoff.
In track, Caleb Mulder earned the only gold medal for the Discoverers by winning the boys 400-meter dash. The CHS boys finished sixth out of seven teams, while the Discoverers girls were seventh.
