Chinander: Huskers Did Tremendous Job of Getting Stronger
The Nebraska football team is getting closer to being able to open fall practice. Defensive coordinator Erik Chinander says he’s “really excited to get back out there and work with the guys a little bit.”
Speaking Monday on Sports Nightly, Chinander was asked if the players have kept themselves in good shape. “All reports we’ve gotten back from the strength and conditioning staff have been really, really good,” Chinander said.
He added that the players have been excited to get back and play and whether they were in Lincoln or at home “did a tremendous job” of getting stronger and “moving forward with their development.”
Nebraska is scheduled to open its conference-only 2020 schedule with a home game against Purdue on September 5th.
