Cam Chick and Griffin Everitt hit home runs and Nebraska’s bullpen pitched 5.1 scoreless innings in the Huskers’ 4-3 win over North Dakota State last night.
Chick reached base in all four of his trips to the plate. In addition to becoming the first Husker to homer in three straight games since Scott Schreiber in 2018, Chick was hit by pitch three times. He’s the first NU batter to collect that painful stat since Kale Kiser in 2011.
The Huskers will open a three-game series at Indiana tomorrow. First pitch is set for 6 p.m. The pregame starts at 5:30 on News Talk 900 KJSK.
