Busch Named Huskers’ Special Teams Coordinator

Bill Busch was named special teams coordinator for Nebraska’s football team today.

Busch moves into the role as a full-time assistant after spending last season as a defensive analyst for the Huskers.  Busch has three decades of college coaching experience and is in his third stint at NU.  He was a full-time assistant from 2004 to 2007, and was a graduate assistant from 1990 to 1993.

Prior to joining Scott Frost’s staff last February, Busch spent the previous three seasons as the safeties coach at LSU and helped the Tigers to a national championship in 2019.

Frost also announced today that Mike Dawson will now tutor NU’s interior defensive linemen while continuing to coach the edge rushers.
