Bluejays Fly Higher Than Golden Eagles in Big East Tourney

The Creighton men’s basketball team beat Marquette 74-63 in today’s Big East Tournament quarterfinals.
It was the Bluejays’ third win over the Golden Eagles in as many months. Ryan Hawkins led CU with 18 points, while Ryan Kalkbrenner tallied 14 points and pulled down nine rebounds.
With the win, the Jays advanced to Friday’s 5:30 p.m. semifinal game against top-seeded and No. 11 Providence. The Friars rallied late to get past ninth-seeded Butler 65-61 today.
