Blackshirts Lead NU to First Three-Game Win Streak Since ’16

Nebraska’s offense had another bad case of fumble-itis, but the Huskers’ defense shined in Saturday’s 31-14 home win over Purdue.

It marked NU’s first three-game winning streak since 2016.

Defensive back Isaac Gifford led Nebraska with 10 tackles including two tackles for loss.  He was asked what has been the catalyst for the Blackshirts’ dominance.  “Honestly, confidence is a big thing,” Gifford said.  “But, also just playing our game.  It doesn’t matter what the call is, we’re just going to play super-hard and they’ve got to stop it.”

The Huskers visit Michigan State this Saturday.  Kickoff is set for 11 a.m.
