Bentz Pitches Vikings to Win, Discoverers Swept in DH

Cali Bentz pitched a complete game to lead Lakeview softball to a 3-1 home win over Ashland-Greenwood Thursday evening. 

Bentz gave up two hits and one unearned run in seven innings.  She racked up 17 strikeouts and did not issue a walk. 

The Vikings’ third straight win upped their record to 5-3. 

Meantime, Columbus was swept in a doubleheader at Lincoln East.  The Discoverers bowed to the Spartans 12-4 and 10-2. 

CHS slipped to 6-8 on the season.
