Area Semifinalists at State Wrestling: 10 in Class C, 18 in Class D

In the Class C boys state wrestling championships, 10 area grapplers will compete in today’s semifinals. 

Thursday’s first day of action in Class D featured 18 boys wrestlers going 2-0. 

For Scotus, Hunter Brunkhorst won his first match in a 7-6 decision, but was pinned in the quarterfinals.  His Shamrocks teammate Kobe Micek was pinned in the opening round of Class C. 

The top area team in Class C was St. Paul, which was in fourth place, while defending champion Aquinas leads the Class D pack.
